SDCC teaser gives us our first good look at Blade Runner 2099

entertainment

After nearly five years of waiting, the Blade Runner universe arrives on television. Ars Technica reports that Prime Video debuted the first teaser for Blade Runner 2099, a ten-episode series, at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. In this dark vision, humanity has lost an uprising and now lives as hunted second-class citizens. Showrunner Silka Luisa says the series maintains the original's noir principles while exploring a mystery rooted in both past and future mythology. The show ultimately poses a central question: what does it mean to be human in a world where humanity is no longer relevant?
