US Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Junior is calling for better Alzheimer's screening — but, per the Guardian, the federal panel designed to evaluate such efforts has been blocked from meeting for more than a year. The US Preventive Services Task Force was supposed to issue recommendations on cognitive decline screening this year. Experts say the evidence supporting Kennedy's push is not strong, which is precisely the question the task force would help resolve.
