NASA Astronaut Chris Williams, Crewmates Return from Space Station

science

NASA reports that astronaut Chris Williams and two Roscosmos cosmonauts returned to Earth on Sunday, landing safely in Kazakhstan after eight months aboard the International Space Station. The crew spent two hundred forty-one days in orbit, circling the planet more than three thousand eight hundred times and traveling over one hundred two million miles. During his mission, Williams completed two spacewalks to upgrade the station's power systems and repair its robotic arm joint, while contributing to research on cancer treatments and advanced space-based manufacturing. The landing represents another milestone in over twenty-five years of continuous human habitation on the orbiting laboratory, which remains key to preparing for future missions to the Moon and Mars.
