Microsoft has introduced lower-cost versions of its Surface devices, according to The Verge. The twelve-inch Surface Pro now starts at eight hundred forty-nine dollars with eight gigabytes of RAM, while the thirteen-inch Surface Laptop begins at nine hundred forty-nine dollars with the same configuration. That's half the base memory of the standard models, traded for a significant price cut on the entry-level variants.
