Police shoot dead Berlin Pride van and knife rampage suspect, officials say

The Guardian reports that Berlin police have shot dead a suspect in a fatal attack near the city's Pride festival. The man allegedly drove a van into crowds in Tiergarten park on Sunday and then carried out a knife rampage in what officials are investigating as an Islamist terror attack. The suspect, twenty-one-year-old Abdul Ballout, was killed in a police operation in the Spandau district.
