Some Democrats tout their version of "America First"

Even some Republicans, including Tucker Carlson, have sided with critics arguing Trump betrayed the original "America First" pledge. While most national Democrats avoid the phrase itself, they're making the same case: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez points out that bombs abroad mean fewer schools at home, and Kamala Harris has called for public dollars to fund housing and healthcare rather than what she termed "reckless foreign wars." The pivot reflects polling showing voters across party lines are tired of Middle East conflicts and want domestic economic focus.
