Scanwheel: A Pocket-Sized POV TV

Per Hackaday, the Scanwheel is a pocket-sized mechanical TV built from a Raspberry Pi Pico, a stepper motor, five LEDs, and a three-D-printed case. The motor spins a disk with precisely-spaced holes at nine hundred RPM, while the Pi times the LED flashes to match the rotation. Your eye blends these rapid flashes into moving images through persistence of vision. The result: a color twenty-by-twenty-pixel display in the center, flanked by two monochrome displays of the same size. It's a clever reminder that you don't need an LED panel to build a working screen.
