Girlguiding redesigns uniforms to put focus on ‘self-expression and confidence’

world

The youth organization Girlguiding has redesigned its uniform for the first time in more than thirty years, shifting the focus to self-expression, belonging, and confidence. The Guardian reports that the new system is significantly more relaxed: members across all groups—Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers—now only need to wear the top to meetings and activities to be officially in uniform. The change came after Girlguiding gathered feedback from thousands of girls, who said they felt most comfortable with the freedom to dress according to their own preferences.
