A Coles supermarket in Alice Springs became the scene of a death that's now headed to court. Kumanjayi White, a twenty-four-year-old Aboriginal man, died after two plainclothes police officers restrained him in the confectionary aisle in May twenty twenty-five, The Guardian reports. The incident sparked national outrage and rallies demanding an independent investigation, and after prosecutors decided not to charge the officers involved, White's family has now launched legal action over that decision.
