Sberbank-owned Megamarket becomes the latest Russian marketplace to exempt itself from liability over drone attacks
business
Megamarket, the Sberbank-owned Russian online marketplace, has amended its seller agreement to exclude liability when it fails to meet obligations during drone attacks. The update, dated July twenty-four, specifically lists weapons, military equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, shelling, and explosions as events beyond the company's responsibility. Per Meduza, the move follows similar changes by major competitors Ozon, Wildberries, and Yandex Market—Wildberries made its revision in early July, just before Ukrainian drone strikes hit its warehouses across multiple Russian regions.
