Black philosophers are appearing more often on Western university syllabi, but according to a new essay in Aeon, the European academic tradition may be domesticating their thinking. Writer Takeshi Morisato argues that in gaining institutional inclusion, the radical edge of Black philosophical thought risks being diminished into something more reassuring and palatable to established systems.
