A Moscow company has fired a sales director for uploading trade secrets to the Chinese AI chatbot DeepSeek. Energoprof dismissed Yekaterina Remizova after she shared internal reports with the tool, Meduza reports. The company also alleged she forwarded confidential documents to her personal email and told a supplier about plans for a new generator brand, causing that supplier to end their partnership. Remizova sued, seeking reinstatement and five million rubles in severance. The court ruled partially in her favor, overturning one disciplinary order and awarding ten thousand rubles for emotional distress, but stopped short of reinstating her.
