science
NASA reports that astronauts will conduct three spacewalks in August to maintain and upgrade the International Space Station. On August sixth, Jessica Meir and Anil Menon will exit the airlock to install hardware modifying the station's power system and preparing it for a new solar array arriving later this year. A week later, on August thirteenth, two crew members will replace a critical communications antenna used to transmit data between Mission Control and the station. Finally, on August twenty-fifth, additional astronauts will connect power and data cables and replace a navigational system as part of ongoing maintenance and preparations for the station's future controlled deorbit.
