Mitch McConnell not medically cleared to resume Senate role as he rehabilitates from fall – live

Republican Senator Mitch McConnell has not been medically cleared to leave his rehabilitation facility and return to the Senate, according to The Guardian. His attending physician says McConnell has maintained a strenuous course of physical therapy. The Guardian also reports that President Trump on Monday told reporters he has paused United States military strikes on Iran to give diplomacy a chance, though he said he's prepared for strong military action if talks fail.
