Donald Trump said today he has paused United States strikes on Iran to allow diplomacy another chance, but stressed he's ready for strong military action if negotiations falter. Per the president, Washington is engaged in very deep talks with Iran, though he told Axios that if those discussions don't succeed, the US will return to strong military action. Trump also said he plans to discuss Iran and Israel's security with Prime Minister Netanyahu, claiming that without his presidency, Iran would have developed nuclear weapons and Israel would have been destroyed.
