PSA: your Claude shared chats and Artifacts may have ended up on Google

A wave of Claude chats and Artifacts — the interactive documents and mini apps users build inside Anthropic's chatbot — turned up publicly searchable on Google over the weekend. TechCrunch reports that Reddit users found the exposure by typing search operators like "site:claude.ai/share" into Google, which surfaced a long list of shared conversations, some reportedly containing health records and other private information. Shared links are typically meant for whoever has the URL, not open web indexing.
