Per the Guardian, a New South Wales hotelier has told Australia's corruption watchdog that he now regrets making prohibited donations to a group of Liberal powerbrokers known as the "Reformers." At the Independent Commission Against Corruption's Operation Rosny hearings on Tuesday, Michael O'Hara said he was "disgusted" by the scheme he had bankrolled and called his involvement "a mistake." O'Hara had previously stopped funding the group, saying he believed that former Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet had abandoned the party's conservative direction—or, as he characterized it, had "gone woke." The hearings are investigating alleged corruption involving prohibited donations to members of the NSW Liberal party who are said to have pushed the party toward the right.
