Inquiry finds 'systemic shortcomings' in Victoria's bushfire response

A parliamentary inquiry into Victoria's devastating 2026 bushfires has found systemic shortcomings in the state's response. The report from the Legislative Council's Environment and Planning Committee was tabled Tuesday. The Victorian government will now need to respond to its findings.
