A massive wildfire in southwestern France's Gironde department, near Bordeaux, has stayed stable after a calm night, local authorities tell France 24. The blaze has torn through forty-two thousand hectares of forest since it broke out on July twenty-second. Inland temperatures are forecast to climb to thirty-three to thirty-five degrees Celsius on Tuesday, and a southeast wind could push the fire back to life.
