Per the Texas Tribune, Venezuelan oil imports to Gulf Coast refineries are surging as a prolonged Strait of Hormuz closure cuts off Middle Eastern supplies. With imports from Iraq and Saudi Arabia virtually halted, refineries are turning to Venezuelan crude to fill the gap.
