Axon Is Another License Plate Surveillance Company

Several municipalities, including Denver, are abandoning their Flock license-plate surveillance cameras. But as Schneier on Security points out, they're often just switching to a different vendor—Axon—rather than solving the core problem. Axon's cameras are equally effective at collecting personal data far beyond license plate numbers. So swapping one surveillance system for another doesn't actually reduce the privacy cities are surrendering.
