2 powerful earthquakes strike Venezuela

Two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela on Wednesday. The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a magnitude seven point two tremor, followed seconds later by a magnitude seven point five quake, both centered just over one hundred miles west of Caracas. The earthquakes caused extensive damage across the capital and communities throughout the country. Authorities issued a red alert warning of probable high casualties and extensive damage.
