Trump administration needs to stop ‘public harassment’ of Fauci and scientists, open letter says

More than 155 scientists, physicians, and public health advocates have released an open letter calling for an end to vilification and harassment of American scientists by the Trump administration and its allies. Per The Guardian, the letter was published one day before Anthony Fauci—the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases—is scheduled to testify before Congress. The Republican-controlled Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee compelled his appearance, and the signatories dismiss allegations against Fauci as baseless.
