Auditor-in-a-Box: Tools for Third-Party Auditing
ai
Researcher Roy Rinberg, writing on LessWrong, has released Auditor-in-a-Box, an open-source system for third-party auditing that replaces traditional legal contracts with verified software. The tool runs an AI model inside a trusted execution environment—hardware that cryptographically proves it's running exactly the code both parties agreed to. Two parties specify what the system is allowed to do, submit their private data encrypted, and receive only the pre-approved results. Applications include AI lab monitoring and privacy-preserving customer oversight.
