Turkiye takes ‘historic step’ on energy alliance with Iraq

Al Jazeera reports that Turkey and Iraq have taken a historic step in their energy partnership. Turkish Petroleum is acquiring a stake in the Kirkuk oilfield—currently operated by BP—positioning Ankara to receive one million barrels of Iraqi oil per day.
