Live: Massive wildfire in southwest France 'remains under control'

A wildfire that has scorched roughly forty-two thousand hectares in southwest France remains under control after a second calm night, regional authorities said Wednesday, France 24 reports. Even so, the regional prefecture cautioned that hot, dry weather continues to work against firefighters. The blaze has been burning for about a week now.
