Data centres could pay hundreds of millions in deposits for power demands

A regulator is proposing deposit fees for new data center projects. BBC News reports that operators would need to pay between two hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred and seven hundred twelve thousand five hundred pounds per megawatt. The move addresses rising power demand from expanding data centers.
