Dr. Anthony Fauci, the longtime former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination when appearing before a Senate committee on Wednesday. The Guardian reports he refused to answer questions, while also accusing a Republican senator of an 'unhinged obsession' with him. Fauci advised both the Trump and Biden administrations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
