Revealed: George Cottrell transferred $2m to his mother days before her donations to Reform UK

The Guardian has revealed that convicted fraudster George Cottrell transferred more than two million dollars to his mother, Fiona Cottrell, in the days immediately before her donations to Reform UK in twenty twenty-four. Financial industry sources told the outlet that Fiona received one deposit of one point four million dollars and two separate transfers of more than three hundred thousand dollars each. When bankers inquired about the deposits, Fiona attributed them to money from her son. The transfers came within twenty-four to seventy-two hours of her political donations.
