TfL brings case worth up to £1bn against carmakers over Ulez compliance

Transport for London is pursuing a legal action potentially worth up to one billion pounds against several car manufacturers over their vehicles' diesel emissions compliance. According to The Guardian, TfL claims that polluting diesel vehicles from Stellantis, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Nissan were able to enter the capital's clean-air zone without payment. The high court heard TfL's allegations of fraud and negligence against these manufacturers.
