Australians fork out $4 million for failing to vote in federal election

In Australia, where voting is compulsory, more than one point three million people didn't vote in last year's federal election. Per ABC News Australia, about two hundred thousand have since paid the twenty-dollar fine, collecting four million dollars in total.
