Hackers steal sensitive data from UK Department for Education and police

Hackers have breached the UK Department for Education and a police database, The Guardian reports, stealing more than seven hundred forty thousand pieces of data. The compromised information includes email addresses and phone numbers belonging to parents, school staff, government officials, senior school leaders, university employees, police officers, and members of the public.
