Metal boots into a persistent native MicroPython REPL

Adafruit Blog reports on Metal, an experimental async runtime by pymergetic that boots directly into a persistent MicroPython REPL. Built on UEFI/BIOS firmware as its foundation, it's neither a conventional operating system nor anywhere near production-ready. But it does offer an unusual way to interact with Python at the lowest system level, with code now available on GitHub.
