Todd Blanche’s US attorney general prospects in question as vote looms

Per The Guardian, Todd Blanche's nomination for US attorney general depends on the Department of Justice providing written assurances to Republican Senator John Cornyn that a one point eight billion dollar slush fund will be eliminated. Cornyn said he won't support the nomination without this confirmation. The Senate Judiciary Committee votes Thursday on advancing it.
