Comcast store punished low sales by smashing pies in workers' faces, lawsuit claims

A lawsuit filed against Comcast's cable division alleges a store manager in Plainville, Connecticut turned poor sales performance into a public humiliation ritual. According to the complaint, the manager had the top-performing sales consultant each month tie the lowest-ranked consultant to a chair and smash a cream pie in their face, with videos taken of the assaults. Plaintiff David Figueroa says he was hired at the store in February and worked under the manager accused of designing the practice to boost sales numbers and customer survey scores. The lawsuit does not yet indicate how Comcast has responded to the allegations.
