Musk went to “war,” sought jail time for X ad boycotts—but case ends with a whimper
tech
Elon Musk has settled his lawsuit against the World Federation of Advertisers over a boycott of his social media platform X. Per Ars Technica, X and the WFA said in a joint statement they are 'putting the litigation behind them,' with minimal disclosure of settlement terms. The suit was filed in twenty twenty-four, following a boycott by major brands that cost the company approximately one point five billion dollars in revenue by the end of twenty twenty-three. Musk had previously called for criminal prosecution of those behind the boycott and declared he was at 'war' with the advertisers—a striking contrast to this week's quiet resolution.
