Todd Blanche, President Trump's nominee for US attorney general, saw his confirmation vote postponed after Republican John Cornyn signaled he would not support the nomination. The Department of Justice had not provided written assurances that a one point eight billion dollar slush fund was no longer active. Per The Guardian, Cornyn will not back Blanche's nomination without that written confirmation.
