A faction of young conservative Liberals called the Reformers is under investigation for allegedly soliciting illegal donations. During testimony before Australia's anti-corruption commission, member Robert Assaf compared the group's internal divisions to Mel Gibson's Braveheart and admitted they didn't think the law applied to them regarding political funding, The Guardian reports. Federal opposition leader Angus Taylor had minimal involvement in the faction, Assaf testified, but was definitely not opposed to its work.
