A Capable KVM Built With The ESP32

tech

Per Hackaday, developer Evgenij Spitsyn has built ESPKVM, a remote management tool built around an ESP32-P4 microcontroller. It captures a computer's HDMI output and streams video as MJPEG or H.264, while presenting itself as a wireless keyboard and mouse for remote control over IP. The device also handles power and reset functions, plus wake-on-LAN, making it a fairly complete remote management solution. One caveat: it hasn't been security-reviewed yet, so Spitsyn recommends keeping it off public networks for now.
