About 1,500 sellers in Russia’s Leningrad Region lost their goods after attacks on a Wildberries warehouse. The governor promised them support.

Roughly fifteen hundred sellers on Wildberries, Russia's largest online marketplace, lost their stored goods after Ukrainian drone strikes sparked a warehouse fire in the Leningrad region. Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko says the region won't abandon its producers, pledging preferential loans to help sellers rebuild their working capital. According to Meduza, this is part of a broader pattern — Ukraine's armed forces have hit more than ten Wildberries warehouses and logistics centers since mid-July, with sellers' losses estimated at fifteen billion rubles or more, far exceeding the marketplace's own losses. Wildberries has started paying compensation, but Meduza reports many sellers say the payouts have fallen far short of their actual losses.
