A family filmed with untrained lions and most of the crew got hurt
entertainment
After witnessing lions overrun an abandoned house in Mozambique, Tippi Hedren decided to make a film about it. Boing Boing reports that she and her husband Noel Marshall began rescuing big cats and living with them on their California ranch. They cast themselves, Hedren's daughter Melanie Griffith, and Marshall's two sons in 'Roar,' a film shot with untrained lions, tigers, and leopards in nearly every scene. The production proved extremely dangerous, with most crew members getting hurt.
