Airbus fined £6.4m for breaching rules on export of sensitive technology

Airbus has been fined six point four million pounds by the UK's tax authority for breaching export control rules governing sensitive military technology. Per The Guardian, the European aerospace manufacturer self-reported the violations to HMRC, representing the tax authority's largest out-of-court settlement to date. The breaches, which occurred before November twenty twenty-two, included failures to maintain accurate records and registers as required by export licences.
