UK data protection officials have cracked down on claims companies bombarding people with spam texts about the car finance mis-selling scandal. Per The Guardian, the Information Commissioner's Office executed search warrants at homes and businesses linked to five firms across London, Liverpool, Bolton, Burnley, and Swansea, seizing laptops, phones, and documents. The operation aims to stop the nuisance messaging that has plagued consumers in the car finance matter.
