Starburst Galaxy Centaurus A
science
NASA reports that the James Webb Space Telescope has captured a new infrared image of Centaurus A, a galaxy eleven million light-years away. The image, taken in early July, reveals dusty structures and hidden activity shaping this unusual system. Unlike most nearby galaxies, Centaurus A is remarkably active, making it a powerful laboratory for understanding how galaxies and their black holes grow and evolve together.
