France is bearing another day of extreme heat before relief finally arrives. Nearly three-quarters of mainland France—seventy-two departments—remain on red alert, affecting more than fifty million people. According to RFI, temperatures are expected to fall starting Thursday evening, breaking what's been a record-setting heatwave.
