Community Polls on Alignment Controversies II

The AI alignment research community is surveying itself on core disagreements. LessWrong reports that researchers including Scott Alexander and David Manheim have created polls asking fundamental questions: whether animals will suffer in a post-AGI world, whether current AI systems can experience suffering, and whether promoting compassion in AI poses risks that outweigh its benefits. A panel of fifteen experts has already responded; the broader community is now invited to weigh in, with results to be published in a comparison report.
