The issue CEOs can't afford to ignore

business

Per polling from Brunswick Group and Echelon Insights, which Axios obtained first, Americans are overwhelmingly concerned with affordability. Forty-one percent say cost of living, the economy, or jobs are the country's biggest issue right now. When asked what they'd tell corporate leaders about life in America today, a quarter pointed to high costs, while another twenty-three cited greed or inequality. There's a striking divide in the data: eighty-seven percent of Americans believe the economic system works well for large companies, but only about half think it works for them. With the midterms less than a hundred days away, the message to CEOs is clear — build trust through consistency and neutrality rather than chasing political headwinds.
