Summer 2026: Ferragosto brings 17.5m tourists to Italy and €9bn in direct spend

Euronews reports that Italy is forecast to host seventeen point five million tourists during Ferragosto this summer, generating nine billion euros in direct spending. Ferragosto, celebrated on August fifteenth, is one of Italy's principal summer bank holidays.
