Hamas agrees to disarm under Trump ceasefire deal

Per France 24, Hamas agreed on Friday to hand over its weapons to a Palestinian governing committee as part of a US-backed ceasefire roadmap that includes a gradual Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza. Israel, however, says it won't pull back until Hamas is fully disarmed, creating a sticking point over how the disarmament process unfolds.
