Illinois officer who killed Sonya Massey denied medical release from prison

A former Illinois sheriff's deputy will not get early medical release from his prison sentence. Sean Grayson was sentenced to twenty years for killing Sonya Massey inside her Springfield home in twenty twenty-four, after she had called 911 about a possible prowler. Grayson, diagnosed with colon cancer before the shooting, had sought release as the disease advanced, but The Guardian reports state officials denied the request on Friday.
